Tuesday - A wonderful meeting with good friend Leah Bennett from Your VIP events to discuss not only a few up and coming events but something extra special which I will write more about in future blogs!
Wednesday - Two meetings with couples. First with Jacqueline and John to talk about their ceremony at The Prado in Balboa Park in October. What a fun couple who booked me on the spot (Although I asked them to wait long enough to at least talk it over). Then a follow up meeting to talk with Amy and Thomas to go over their Scottish Wedding in November at South Coast Winery in Temecula.
Thursday - A meeting with Mike Thomas of Higher Level Sound. A fun Dj that provides a wonderful service to wedding couples.
Friday - A wonderful celebration at one of my favorites locations; The Bali Hai on Shelter Island with Terrence and Trisha which included the celebration of children with their daughter Autumn. These are always special moments that stir the hearts of everyone!
Hats off to Larry Bauman and his staff for once again providing a great and professional venue for my couples….and you can’t beat the view of the San Diego skyline….
Saturday - 2 celebrations today. First a celebration with Tai and Kate at the historic Marston House in Balboa Park. This was such a wonderful celebration at a venue I had not even been to before. Although a very hot and humid time of the day, it was still very romantic.
I had the pleasure to work once again with the guys from I worked with the Han and Tran from hc.tran photography, they are a great group and I look forward to seeing their work once again. Then I was off to share a magical moment with Jessie and Kevin at Marina Village on Mission Bay.
Jessie and I have spent much time together over the past year as she is one of the Barista’s at the Starbucks I meet my couples at for interviews. I am honored she asked me to share in her special day! She is also one of my MySpace friends and we chat often!
Sunday - A real fun celebration with a real fun couple. Jose and Rachael have been together for 12 years and as their families said, “This made it Official!”
The Oceanside Marina Suites is an awesome venue for an intimate setting alongside Ocean Harbor.
I worked with Gerrit Klaschke Photograpghy for the first time and hope to work with him again.
Another week of great celebrations and another on the way!
Have a wonderful week and blessings!

Tuesday - A meeting with Tim and Trisha to discuss their ceremony plans at the end of the month at The Crossings in Carlsbad.
Wednesday - 3 Meetings today with couples starting with Kaci and Ben regarding their celebration next year at Seagrove Park in Del Mar. Then Grecia and Mark to talk over their wedding plans at the Handlery Hotel in Mission Valley. She found me via AJ from Channel 9-3-3 radio in San Diego and loved what he and his bride had to say about my services (Read the article here). They called the next day to book…. They are a fun couple. I am honored and look forward to sharing in the magic. I then spoke with Jessie to go over last minute plans for her celebration next week at Marina Village.
Thursday - A special celebration from my “Say I Do Again” services for couples wanting to renew their weddings vows. Mary Jo and David came to La Jolla to celebrate their 30th anniversary with friends and family from St. Paul and he surprised her with everything!
He secured the services Francesca and Caprice Strings to help make the magic happen
and the photography services of good friend Richard Santini.
Friday - THE BUSIEST WEDDING DAY OF THE YEAR! (5 celebrations for me to share on this most special day!) 2 confidential gatherings that started the day then off to La Jolla for two Elope to La Jolla celebrations. First with Robin and Paul, a delightful couple from Arizona that shared the moment with their son, family and friends.
And then a wonderful celebration with Cheryl Lynn and Alvin who came down from Los Angeles with their families. We were able to share the celebration at the Wedding Bowl on this very busy day, it was simply beautiful!
Special thanks to Chad who was able to help both couples with photography services on such a busy day.
Then off to the Museum of Contemporary Art La Jolla for a wonderful celebration with Keith and Amy! This celebration was on the back patio overlooking the water and made for a spectacular afternoon.
Once again I had the honor to work with good friend Preston Foreman of Visual Sound Productions who handled ceremony sound and was nice enough to refer me to Keith and Amy for their service. Thanks Preston!
My sunset elopement ceremony had to cancel my services as they made a change of location from La Jolla to downtown San Diego and it would have been impossible for me to be able to make it their in time to meet their changes and still serve my other couples. This happens sometimes and I wish them a lifetime of Love and Happiness.
But the end of the day was most beautiful and I stayed long enough to share in that moment.
If you ever wonder why I do what I do, this should explain it all, sunsets on the cliffs of La Jolla sharing time with the happiest people in the world! I am so blessed.
Saturday - A celebration once again at The Wedding Bowl with Greg and Susan. What a picture perfect day and a few of the best vendors were there to help make the magic happen for them.
Flowers by Elegant Touch Floral Designs. Joe & Sheri Berardino are always awesome! We had a few problems with the rental company that supplied the arch , but they stuck it out to make sure it was as beautiful as ever.
Photography services once again from good friend Richard Santini with his assistant Sarah (Who I will be marrying in October) captured the moments. And a new friend to add to the list of coordinators, Julie from A day to remember.
It was another great week of celebrations and I can’t wait to see what happens next week…
Be well and blessings,

Time off for good behavior the first part of the week…LOL. This gave me plenty of time to go through all the fun of buying property…. Ugh!
Thursday - Private and Confidential ceremony.
Friday - A beautiful celebration at the La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla in the Garden with Mike and Cherie. What an awesome couple! From day one I knew this would be a fun celebration.
It’s been a very long time since I have performed a ceremony here and very overdo. It’s one of my favorite La Jolla locations and I had the pleasure to work with some old friends I have not worked with in awhile. Leo Lopez the catering manager is fun to work with and is always detail oriented which makes things very easy for everyone involved. I also had the pleasure to work with Missy again from Angelica Strings. She and Erika performed beautifully and anytime you add strings to a wedding, it simply adds elegance and beauty.
Saturday - I Started the day with two meetings, one with Joey and Valerie from Moreno Valley who are planning their celebration in April 2009 at the Falkner Winery in Temecula and the other with a couple that a planning a confidential gathering in San Marcos next month. Later in the day I met with Jennifer and Brian to talk about their celebration at Marina Village next June and then finished the day with a wonderful celebration back at the Island Palms Resort on Shelter Island with Brian and Gina.
Working with Brianna and her staff is always a pleasure and this is one of my favorite harbor side locations. It so depicts what San Diego is all about with the Harbor and Point Loma as a wonderful backdrop. I had the honor to work with Rob Szajkowski, who is one of my top 3 guitarists in the area and I always look forward to sharing time with him at celebrations.
Sunday - A fun and special celebration with Derek and Tiffany at the Twin Oaks Golf Course in San Marcos. A special and intimate celebration with family and friends and it was a picture perfect day!
One of my all time favorite coordinators Michelle Martini-Brown has moved over to this location and is always a pleasure to share time with! She is one of my top 3 coordinators and would recommend her to every bride and groom!
Hal and Lisa from Focus On U were on hand to capture the moments as they unfolded (I married Lisa and her Husband Christopher at this same location last summer) and I worked with Mark from Music and More again who is one of the pros in town that actually make sure the ceremony sound and equipment are just right!
Yet another great week and a very busy week to come as this Friday is the busiest wedding day of the year 8/8/8!
Be well and blessings to you….

Another great week with SEVEN weddings over the weekend!
Wednesday - Private and Confidential celebration.
Friday - First a meeting with Christopher and Stephanie; they are planning their ceremony at the beautiful Lake Oak Meadows in Temecula next April. A early evening ceremony with Carolina and Matthew overlooking the harbor at the Island Palms finished the day. What a wonderful and intimate setting for family and friends.
It’s always a pleasure to share time at this venue and Brianna is always fun to see and work with! I also worked with BJ and Tyler from DJ Guy and with photographer Martin Kosmicki who did a great job making this couples day special..
Saturday - 3 ceremonies made for a busy…. but wonderful day. If I have failed to mention just how much I love what I do on this Blog I’ll just say it again. Can you imagine? I share time with two people on one of their most special days in a great city. Can you imagine? On a day like this, I get to do it THREE times!
My day started with a wonderful ceremony at one of my favorite hidden gems in San Diego. The Karl Strauss Gardens in Sorrento Valley with Patrick and Betsy. I love this couple and this venue!
Everything went perfect with the help of their on site coordinator Angela, who was just awesome by the way, and the DJ talents of Victor and Dominic of Sunset Mobile Music.
Then off to the tropical gardens and gazebo of the Bahia hotel and resort on Mission Bay with Kristin and Logan. This is a very intimate wedding garden in a tropical setting that makes it so heartwarming.
As this was a destination wedding most of their wedding vendors were from out of the area but a big hats off and great job to Nick Adams their photographer AND guitarist…
To finish my day, a drive over to the Bali Hai on Shelter Island for a ceremony on San Diego Bay with Eddie and Becky.
Awesome place and as I have posted many times here on my blog, working with Larry Bauman and his staff at the Bali Hai is a highlight to my work! I worked with John from J Salgado Images and old friend Mike from Higher Level Sound, a great wedding DJ. Oh, I just had to mention the yummy white chocolate fountain from Georgie Marin from Chocolate Haven. This was simply awesome and the smell was, well, heavenly to say the least!
Sunday - 2 wonderful celebrations to end the weekend. First with Jennifer and Michael at Paradise Point on Mission Bay - Hawaiian Style! This was so much fun complete with hawaiian entertainment and the traditional blowing of the conch shell to srat the ceremony.
A few special mentions from this ceremony. First; Erin from Behind the Bride. I base a good coordinator on a totally different scale than most. I always look how coordinators handle pressure and make everything come together. Throw a last minute venue location change at Erin and a few other last minutes craziness and she shines. Great job Erin!
Another fun part was Janelle Fiske of Sliver Cup Bakery. She was a delight and her work… Yummy!
Last but not least were the entertainers. As soon as I get all their information, I will post it here AND…. Christopher Todd the photographer. I have worked with him and his wife many times now and it’s always a pleasure, a real pro!
Then, a quick change from casual Hawaiian to three piece suit for a sunset Elope to Coronado moment with Martin and Kelly on the beach by the beautiful and historic Hotel Del Coronado. I have to say, it’s been a long time to have such a happy couple, and I mean happy! They were so full of love and captured what the elopement is all about. They made the journey to this beautiful location from Houston Texas and I hope to hear from them again….
Old Friend Richard Santini took care of the photo work. Richard is still one of my favorites photographers in San Diego… They were lucky to grab him.
I am a most blessed man to be given this much happiness in my work. As long as he let’s me keep doing this, I am here to serve!
Have a great week and we’ll post more next Sunday…….

Another wonderful week! Did I ever mention how much I love what I do?
Tuesday - I met with Lee and Holli who are getting married at The Wedding Bowl in October. They drove in from Las Vegas and made a stop in Escondido to speak with me.. A real fun couple! I met with Philip and Jaqueline later in the day to discuss their plans at Sunset Cliffs next July (I love couples that plan ahead!). They had originally planned The Wedding Bowl but lost out on the lottery to another couple. Even planning this far in advance you can miss out on certain venues and vendors…. Later I met with old Friend Jon St. John from the band Uncle Boogie , a great band for wedding receptions by the way!
We talked over their summer of gigs and weddings and it’s always a pleasure for me to refer this band to couples!
Wednesday - A walk in the morning with Lauren and my grand-daughter Saffron and then a mini version of Daddy-Daughter day with Sarah for lunch because I had a wonderful celebration with Christopher and Karlie at the Admiral Kidd Club in the afternoon… What a beautiful celebration at one of my favorite San Diego Bay venues… What a view! Becuase of Naval security I am unable to post a picture of Christopher however, Karlie was quick to make sure I had a photo for my blog.. She’s awesome and it was a pleasure to serve those that serve!
I worked with Witz of DJ Guy for the first time and look forward to working with him again soon! I also worked with a new photographer… and made a new friend,,, Liz from Liz Grace Photography .
I really hope to work with her soon as we “clicked” (You know that “feeling”). You can feel the passion she has for weddings… Hmmm sound like some you know? (Answer: Me!)
Friday - 2 Private and Confidential ceremonies in San Diego and North County.
Saturday - A wedding celebration at the beautiful Kona Kai on Shelter Island with Maurico and Melissa. What a great location with our feet in the sand on the bay at Shelter Island overlooking the boats and yachts.
I worked with Blake and his wife from Pro Motion Entertainment who handled the DJ and coordinating services and did a great job.
Sunday - Off to one of my favorite local wineries, The Rancho Bernardo Winery for a celebration with Scott and Robertha. What a great day and what a special couple!
I had the opportunity to work with a few great vendors as well; Michele and Steve of Michele Ehlers Photography and Will and Shea from Dancing DJ Productions. All in all a great afternoon of love and magic!
I can’t wait for the next week and look forward to sharing more special magic with my couples. Have a great week!
