Monday / Wednesday – The week started with a flight to Las Vegas to share time with my wife Mary. She had to attend an Alternative Fuels conference and I went to keep her company. She had to travel and set up the company booth at the convention center on Mother’s Day so I went to take her to Dinner and help her celebrate. You see, Mary has been a wonderful Mother and Step-Mother and not even work can stand in the way of this most special day of celebrations!
Thursday - was a wonderful Elope to Sunset Cliffs moment in the mid afternoon with Daniel and Klaudia. I once again failed to remember my camera and was unable to capture the event. My couple used Hal and Lisa from Focus-On-U photography but they use film so I don’t think I’ll have a picture at all to share.
I later met with Jennifer and Joseph to discuss their wedding plans at the Old Richland Schoolhouse in October and then a meeting with Becky and Eddie who are planning their celebration at the beautiful Bali Hai on Shelter Island in July.
Saturday - A truly Magical Wedding at the most magical place one Earth…. I’m going to Disneyland! A beautiful rose garden wedding at the Disneyland Hotel with Kristen and Warren who are from Achorage, Alaska. I had the honor of performing Warren’s Uncles ceremony three years ago where he was a Groomsman.
I love this hidden gem. Although the Wedding Garden is just steps from the Disneyland Hotel pool and just across from the ESPN center of Downtown Disney, you would never, ever know it. This is my 6th wedding celebration at the Magic Kingdom and I can’t wait for more. It’s always worth the drive from San Diego.
I tried to be creative with my tiny digital camera and was surprised to find this shot worked with this camera.
I worked with Pianist Jamie Shaheen who I know I have worked with before but for the life of me I just can’t seem to recall. After a few thousand wedding ceremonies my – time, place and couple recall – is slipping a little. LOL. Nonetheless, a real pro as I watched her make magic happen with a vocalist she had never met before and played a song she had never heard. During the ceremony, no one, and I mean no one would have thought that they had never worked together before.
Monica, the coordinator from Disneyland made me feel very welcome and made sure everything ran in true Disney style. As a “Plan E” guy, I appreciate attention to detail.
Following the wedding I met with Debra and Robert at a local Starbucks in Anaheim and to discuss their ceremony plans in June at Falkner Winery at the Pinnacle Garden. They are from Diamond Bar and this made for a great meeting place…
Sunday - A special Elope to La Jolla moment with Michelle and Joseph who are from Peria, AZ.
What a great couple and very much in Love! A perfect sunset moment captured by Chad Nelson Photography.
I was able to capture this sunset photo… What a way to end the weekend….
More to come next week…..Blessings
