Monday - A meeting with Elizabeth to discuss her plans with her soon to Hubby Ian at the Museum of Contemporary Art La Jolla next May. He is currently stationed overseas and she is handling everything she can while he’s away.
Tuesday - A meeting with Lindsey and Mardel and their son Joey to chat about their wedding next March at Marina Village on Mission Bay.
Wednesday - An Elope to Sunset Cliffs destination elopement with Wendy and James from Minnesota. What a fun couple! Richard Santini from RHS photo took care of the Photography and they also included a beautiful Custom Sand Ceremony Set and Bouquet from Lauren.
Then off to La Jolla for the celebration of Akiko and Joel. What a wonderful couple and such warm and supportive family and friends.
They used my Wedding Bowl package that has become very popular with couples wishing to use this location in La Jolla. Photography was handled by Robert of A Special Day Photography.
Thursday - Another Destination Elopement from Elope to La Jolla with Richard and Cheryl from England. They are a wonderful couple and it’s always a pleasure to serve those that have traveled so far to enjoy the beauty of La Jolla.
Once again Richard Santini from RHS photo took care of the Photography and we were also joined by Kathy who played flute softly throughout the entire ceremony. She is the wife of guitarist Colin McAllister that has been used for several elopements. This was a very magical and romantic moment!
Friday - Another Wedding Bowl package moment with Andrea and Jeremy at The Wedding Bowl What a wonderful couple who made sure every guest felt special for coming.
I had the pleasure to once again work with Leanna of Harps Desire. She plays beautifully and caters to her couples needs and requests.
A last minute Elope to La Jolla elopement with Justin and Erica who were joined by his parents and their friend Joel. This is EXACTLY why I offer this service to couples whether they be from around the world or right here in America’s Finest. Imagine, rather than a stale and boring ceremony in the 20 X 20 white room of the county clerk’s office; a tender and romantic ceremony, seaside, with ocean waves crashing and your bare feet in the sand…
I LOVE WHAT I DO and the couples that ask me to share in this magic makes me a very blessed man!
Saturday - Started with another Elope to La Jolla moment with Erin and Michael. A few family and friends made it to this special moment, some traveled from Ohio! Chad Nelson took care of the photography and it’s always a pleasure to work with him!
Then, a special moment with Trisha and Tim at The Crossings in Carlsbad. This was an awesome celebration and a beautiful location.
What made this event even more special was seeing Meradeth, the on site events manager. I had the honor of marrying her 3 years ago at a wonderful Winery in San Marcos… It’s always a great moment to share time with my brides and grooms after such a long time.
Sunday - The week ended with another Elope to La Jolla celebration with Michelle and Scott and her family. Once again, Chad Nelson took care of the photography!
Phew, what a week…. What a blast….. What Blessings! Did I mention I love what I do? More next week….

Rev. you were awesome! Thank you so much for making our small and simple ceremony so special! AND waiting so patiently for the arrival of the Father of the Groom on that particularly warm and moist day, without shade.
And we took full advantage of all your ‘perks’ too! Chad Nelson was also very patient and pleasant to work with, as well as Lauren from Sand~sational! She was awesome too!! Oh! And La Jolla Cove Suites really hooked us up just for meeting you!! It was the best experience we could have asked for, and it took less than 2 months to plan! Thankyouthankyouthankyou!
Sincerely, Erin and Mike Cowell
