Weddings – Week ending March 23, 2008

Yes, another great week of meetings and weddings!

Monday began with a beautiful wedding at the Bali Hai where I once again worked with Larry and his great staff, I just love this place! Eduardo and Jennie are from Oakland and it was a beautiful sunset on Mission Bay! This was old home week for me as I had married family last year!

Following this wedding, I met with Kate and Tai to talk about their ceremony at the Marstan House in Balboa Park this summer. I was most honored to hear from Kate on Wednesday that she and Tai had decided to ask me to Officiate their special day!

Wednesday I met with Jennifer and Dennis to talk about their special day at the Hilton Gardens in Carlsbad. This is a wonderful and fun couple and their wedding say should be very exciting.

Thursday was a wonderful Elope to Coronado celebration in the late afternoon on the beach in front of the Hotel Del Coronado. Jennifer and David are from Phoenix and her parents and Grandmother flew in to witness this very special moment….

Saturday was a busy, busy day… First, a meeting with Michael and Rebecca in Encinitas to discuss their ceremony plans at the Prado in Balboa Park. Then a short drive south along the coast for a wonderful celebration at Cardiff by the Sea Lodge with Marisa and and Aaron. What a view of the pacific from this rooftop location! What a wonderful group of family and friends they have, I wish I could have stayed for the parry. We met a few days later where her family took a pic of her on my motorcycle… Maybe I can get her to send me a copy and I’ll post it here.

I then traveled further south for another romantic Elope to La Jolla moment with Genevieve and Kevin. What a beautiful moment and day this was.

Sunday - Easter brunch with the entire family with reflection on the true meaning of the day, (other than that little bunny story that the grandchildren just love). I am truly a blessed man and I never take my life, my family and most importantly, my blessings for granted. This was a day to reflect on the sacrafice one man made for everyone… Happy Easter!

More next week…..
