Monday - I spent a few hours at Starbucks to meet with 3 couples… First with Christopher and Diane to discuss their March wedding at the Beautiful Grand Tradition in Fallbrook. I then met with Miranda and John-Michael to discuss their celebration in March at….. the Beautiful Grand Tradition in Fallbrook! What are the odds of that happening, two couples back to back for the same location ain the same month! Miranda and I have know each other for some time as she worked at one of my favorite coffee shops. A friend of hers that I married awhile back recommended me and she just had to call and make this happen…. I then met with Stephen and Bethany to talk about their ceremony in May at Seagrove Park in Del Mar. All in all, a wonderful night..
Wednesday - A meeting with Larry and Peggy to talk over their plans at the Grande Colonial in La Jolla. Plans are for a very small and intimate ceremony with family.. I just love these!
Thursday - I met with Dave and Mary to talk about their plans in February at the Rancho Bernardo Winery. Once again, a small and intimate ceremony is planned with family and friends and making sure that their children are part of the magic.
Friday - An Elope to La Jolla moment with Brad and Melisa from Utah. The bad weather held off for this special time and made for a beautiful day. Richard from RHS Photo took care of the photos and as witness as they were the true definition of elopement… just the three of us!
Saturday - I met with Duane and Michelle to talk over their celebration st South Coast Winery in Temecula on the 28th. The first wave of the storm arrives and another Elope to La Jolla moment is on schedule. The rain itself held off for the ceremony but it was cold and windy. Sondra and Rick brought their friends and were ready to get married…rain or no rain…. I am here to serve and the magic happened….
Sunday - The storm held off which made for a wonderful sunset at another Elope to Coronado celebration with Mark and Teresa.
A good group of family and friends were on hand to help celebrate and Richard from RHS Photo took care of the photos!
On a special note… The storm holding off until late Sunday made for a beautiful day for Dad’s public memorial that was held at Grape Day Park in Escondido. We estimate that a minimum of 200 friends showed up to pay their respects to our hero. His racing buddies trailored “The Lincoln” to the park so they could see Dad’s other love and I snapped a picture of my nephew Shane sitting in Papa Ted’s race car…
Thanks again for all your emails and call of support during the tragic time, they were appreciated.
Have a great week and stay dry!
