Weddings – Week Ending April 20, 2008

Another fun and exciting week! 2 different San Diego Wedding Vendors asked me this week to preside over their ceremony. This is one of my biggest honors and humbles me greatly. Imagine, out of all the Officiants and wedding ceremonies they see, day after day, week after week, year after year and they ask me… What an honor…

On Monday I met with Nyssa and Danny to talk about their September ceremony at South Coast Winery in Temecula.

Tuesday I got together with 2 couples. First was Sarah and Dan. Sarah is an assistant to Richard Santini who is one of my favorite photographers. What makes this special is, I am always honored to be part of a wedding vendors special day. Of all the Officiants they must see and to ask me to share in the day, I am most honored. I also met with Jay and Stacy who are planning their ceremony at the Grand Del Mar Resort.

Wednesday was my next meeting with a San Diego Wedding Vendor. Jerry and Lindsay from Cloud Break Films, another great Wedding videographer asked me to share in their moment in Carlsbad in June. Jerry said that if was after witnessing my ceremony on the Vista Walk at the Hotel Del Coronado las t summer that sold him. Again, I am most honored!

Thursday I met with Samantha and Bill to discuss their wedding plans in Temecula in June. They are planning a small intimate ceremony at their home that will include their children. These are my favorite types of ceremonies. Not only two becoming one but, all becoming family!

Friday - Some time off to spend with family and a fun motorcycle ride down to Mission Valley and then back home via the coast… What a great day!

Saturday - Busy Busy Day!!! 2 elopements and 1formal wedding all in La Jolla. I guess if you have to stay in one town all day until sunset, La Jolla is the place to be right?

It started with a Elope to La Jolla moment with Nicole and Grant. There families were on hand to share in the moment and although cloudy and very cool, it was a very bright and warm moment.

From there I headed of for a formal event at the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club with Jessica and Matt.

Their ceremony was right on the beach of La Jolla shores.

I worked with old Friend and Guitarist Rob Szajkowski. I always enjoy working with Rob and have shared many ceremonies over the years. He’s one of my top 3 in the area.

I also worked with Rachel from Wedded Bliss events. What a delight to meet and work with real pros.

To finish off the day was a ceremony that is the perfect example of why I do what I do. Denmark and Karen; two beautiful people, inside and out that run off to get married. They call two friends and say “join us for our moment”. Denmark had heard about me from another couple I had done the same thing for and within a few minutes, plans were made to meet. A special and intimate Elope to La Jolla moment at Wind and Sea beach. An eloping couple, two friends, their one year old daughter, the minister and a bottle of Dom Pérignon, what more could you need? This moment was so meant to be as everything fell into place for them, someone even left their flowers placed on the hut from a previous celebration for us to enjoy. A lifetime of Love and Happiness awaits this couple…you can feel it! I was so honored to be part of this moment.

They wanted to get married at the thatch hut on Wind and Sea beach in La Jolla. Again, cloudy and cold but what a warm time had by all….

Sunday - One ceremony at the was all that was on tap for the day and it was a full day of love and excitment. Jennifer and Christopher throw a great party!

The Admiral Kidd Club is one awesome venue and I love to perform ceremonies here, why? 1) The View, 2) the view and did I mention the view?

I had the chance to work with Cabrillo Strings, a great string duo that I have not worked with in a very long time and I hope it won’t be as long.

I also had the wonderful opportunity to work with Heather Elise Photography again, which is always a pleasure. Blue Pearl Productions Videography and everything was put together by Mandy and Lisa from The Little Things

And if anyone ever asks you if I like what I do… tell them no….HE LOVE’S WHAT HE DOES!

More to come next week.
